Week 1: 4/11/16
First thought of the first day, stressing
about how long it is going to take me to drive there. So I left 2 hours for
traffic and any unforeseen events. It took me like 1hr 15mins, so I was there
early to say the least!
When it was time to go in I was greeted by
the lovely Hollie, who introduced me to everyone and they told me their names,
clients and favourite movie, they’d very
clearly done this on the reg.
She went through what I’d be doing when I
came in each week. I got my own set up, computer and desk next to the other
intern Quok.
We started with stat analysis of the social
media pages, wrote a blog post for the Get Glossy blog, The Nutshell. I had
major first day jitters! I accidentally unplugged the screen which deleted all
my work, then the keyboard wouldn’t connect, so I had set myself back from the
get go, haha only me!
There was a template on photoshop that I
was to make my own, so they could add it to their wall of interns which was
pretty cool, it’s not up yet though.
Following this, a template was made for me
to shadow and complete tasks for people throughout the office. Hollie gave me a
chart that had everyone’s name and desk location, thank god because I had
forgotten everyone!

The first day for me was mostly shadowing and learning all the
